Dr. Amy Weislogel

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF GEOLOGY

Dr. Weislogel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geology & Geography at WVU and has been at WVU for 10 years. Her scientific research expertise is in the influence of tectonic and climate on paleogeography through examination of the sedimentary record, in both subsurface and outcrops. Her teaching includes GEOL 103 Earth Through Time, GEOL 203 Physical Oceanography, along with upper level undergraduate and graduate courses. In addition she supervises the 104 Earth Through Time Laboratory sections. She has transitioned GEOL 103 course to using open educational resources in 2021 and is developing the first earth history open educational resources dedicated to laboratory sections. This will be implemented in the GEOL 104 lab sections at WVU in 2022.
