Teaching Assistant Professor

Dr. Martin is an Assistant Professor in the WVU School of Nursing. In addition, she also works as a Nurse Practitioner providing primary care for Hospice of Southern WV. She has also opened two Residential Substance Abuse Treatment facilities for the West Virginia Department of Corrections, one in Beckley, WV, and one in Charleston, WV, and worked as a FNP-BC at Gulf Family Practice Clinic for New River Health in Sophia, WV. In addition, she has nursing experience pediatrics and education. Her roles included staff nurse and course coordinator. Prior to a career in nursing Dr. Martin spent twenty years in Engineering with AEP. Her education: DNP from West Virginia University; Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health from Johns Hopkins University for PMHNP-BC; MSN from Marshall University for FNP-BC; BSN from WVU, and her ASN from St. Mary’s School of Nursing/Marshall University.
