Sanish Rai is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at West Virginia University Institute of Technology. He is interested in research on improving teaching in the field of computer science and engineering. His current research interests include simulation and modeling, data assimilation, occupancy estimation, data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. He is also interested in Scholarship of teaching of learning (SOTL). He is the Co-PI of NSF S-STEM project titled "Supporting Undergraduate Cohorts of Career-Ready Engineering and Science Scholars " at WVUTech.
